Songs of the European Renaissance

 “THE RENAISSANCE PROJECT” is a musical output that can satisfy both the expectations of a refined audience (by offering an “unusual” interpretation in classical music) and the need to reach a wider audience without a specific background in classical music (using common not-classically-educated voices, modern mood in singing and arrangements).

Some of the special features of the CD are :

- songs coming from the musical tradition of 5 different Countries : Italy, France, Germany, England, Spain;

- “Il Testamento del Capitano” (The Captain’s Last Will) is a well-known Italian popular song, whose musical origins date back to the Renaissance period.

- the last song is a different version of the opening one, “La Sirena”, (The Siren) wittily sung, preserving the original harmony but in a “swing” mood.

The a-cappella vocal ensemble is musically active with concerts and workshops on national and international areas since 1995, with a wide repertoire offer (Classical Music, Vocal Jazz, Italian Traditional, Afro-American Tradition, Christmas Songs).  “THE RENAISSANCE PROJECT” is now a live show too, suitable for many kinds of musical calendars and events, not only for classical music recitals.
